There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Jesi (11-14) was edged on the road by twelfth ranked Bondi Ferrara (11-14) 84-82 on Sunday. Bondi Ferrara looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bondi Ferrara made 7 blocks. American forward Laurence Bowers (203-90, college: Missouri) stepped up and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and swingman Riccardo Cortese (195-86) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) responded with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists and the other American import forward Dwayne Davis (196-89, college: S.Mississippi) scored 23 points.
