Regular Season Round 24: Matera - Rimini 95-83

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Rimini's (10-12) road loss to seventh ranked Matera (13-9) 83-95 on Sunday. Matera outrebounded Rimini 38-25 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Nicolo Ravazzani (200-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) who added 20 points and 5 assists during the contest. Matera's coach Roberto Miriello used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Leonardo Battistini (194-95) with 27 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Luca Pesaresi (180-89) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Five Matera and four Rimini players scored in double figures. Matera moved-up to sixth place in B. Loser Rimini dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Matera will face Venafro (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Rimini will play against Monteroni and hope to win that game.
