Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Novipiu Casale and 8th ranked Rieti had identical 12-12 record. This time Novipiu Casale used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Rieti 65-59 on Sunday night. American forward Jordan Tolbert (201-92, college: SMU) stepped up and scored 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Brett Blizzard (191-80, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) scored 14 points. Rieti's coach Luciano Nunzi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Novipiu Casale (13-12) moved-up to eighth place in A2. Loser Rieti dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Novipiu Casale will face Scafati (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rieti will play against Agropoli (#14) and hope to win that game.
