Matanzas beat Villa Clara to take 2-0 lead in the series. The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-80. Guerreros made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Guerreros outrebounded Villa Clara 33-17 including 20 on the defensive glass. Yosniel Moralez orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Yoan Rodriguez contributed with 16 points for the winners. Guerreros' coach Jemmott Allen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International center Yoel Cubillas (204-94) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Osvaldo Perez added 14 points and 5 steals in the effort for Villa Clara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
