Pieno Zvaigzdes overcame Tartu Ulikool in overtime to secure BBL Finals appearance. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tartu Ulikool won third quarter 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Tartu Ulikool used huge pressure winning it 17-15 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 9-16. P.Zvaigzdes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Tartu Ulikool helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Justas Tamulis (194-94) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and Russian forward Nikita Balashov (207-91, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Ukrainian Maks-Adam Konate (202-91, agency: Alti Sport) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Janar Talts (206-83) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Tartu Ulikool players scored in double figures.
