There was a surprise result in Willetton where eleventh ranked Cougars (1-1) won against higher ranked Tigers (1-1) 89-81 on Friday. Cougars looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jalen Billups (198-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and swingman Gavin Field (202-89, college: W.Georgia) who added 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Jay Bowie (196-92, college: Marist) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds and guard Damien Scott (190-92) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Cougars left bottom position moving up to fifth place in League. Cougars will face Stirling S. (#7) in Perth in the next round. Tigers will play on the road against the league's leader Buccaneers in Wonthella and hope to win that game.
