Regular Season Round 23: Noorteliiga - TTU 64-71

Bottom-ranked Noorteliiga (0-16) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 71-64 loss to fourth ranked TTU (14-10) in Tallinn on Friday evening. Noorteliiga trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 21-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-71 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Noorteliiga 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international Toomas Raadik (202-90, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Sten Olmre (192-95) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five TTU players scored in double figures. Point guard Carlos Jurgens (190-98) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Taavi Jurkatamm (201-97) scored 16 points. Noorteliiga's coach Indrek Visnapuu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TTU maintains fourth place with 14-10 record. Noorteliiga lost their sixteenth game in a row. They still close the standings. TTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TLU/Kalev.
