Second Stage Round 3: Ohrid AV - Vardar 65-77

Ohrid AV (2-1) recorded a loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Vardar (1-2) 77-65. The game was mostly controlled by Vardar. Ohrid AV managed to win second period 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian guard Deji Ibitayo (193-93, college: Akron) who scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Vojce Levkoski (-91) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) who recorded 23 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Slobodan Mihajlovski (202-82) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vardar are looking forward to face Strumica (#7) in Strumica in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ohrid AV will play at home against Pelister Bitola and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
