Second Stage Round 3: MZT Skopje - Rabotnicki 87-68

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: MZT Skopje (#2) and Rabotnicki (#3). MZT Skopje (3-0) crushed visiting Rabotnicki (1-2) by 19 points 87-68. The game was mostly controlled by MZT Skopje. Rabotnicki managed to win second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MZT Skopje dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Rabotnicki's 22. It was a great evening for Croatian center Jure Lalic (211-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 9 rebounds. Surinamese-Dutch guard Charlon Kloof (190-90, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. MZT Skopje's coach Ante Nazor used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Dime Tasovski (200-80) with 25 points and 5 assists and Serbian center Nenad Misanovic (217-84) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. MZT Skopje's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Karpos Sokoli.
