Second Stage Round 7: KPZO DYUSH - Kremen-2 78-61

Bottom-ranked KPZO DYUSH managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time newly promoted KPZO DYUSH won against twelfth-ranked Kremen-2 in Dnepropetrovsk 78-61. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference suggests that KPZO DYUSH is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game without a history. KPZO DYUSH led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kremen-2's 28. It was a great evening for point guard Oleksandr Fomenko (180-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points. Point guard Sergey Bukin (180-87) helped adding 4 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four KPZO DYUSH players scored in double figures. KPZO DYUSH's coach Stanislav Kakovkin used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Nikita Neshcheret responded with 24 points and the former international forward Viktor Kobzisty (200-79) scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Newly promoted KPZO DYUSH maintains fourteenth place with 3-10 record. Kremen-2 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. KPZO DYUSH's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Dnepropetrovsk Dnipro-2.
