We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked BK Usti nad Labem (12-18) was rolled over on the road by ninth ranked NH Ostrava (12-18) 94-72 on Tuesday. NH Ostrava looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by BK Usti nad Labem's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Kevin Mays (193-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) who scored 20 points. The other American import center Deshawn Painter (205-90, college: ODU) chipped in 22 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and American Cory Abercrombie (201-85, college: Independence CC) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five NH Ostrava and four BK Usti nad Labem players scored in double figures. NH Ostrava moved-up to eighth place in Places 7-12, which they share with Usti n/Labem. NH Ostrava will meet higher ranked Basketbal Svitavy (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Usti nad Labem will play against MMCITE Brno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
