TTT Riga cruised past Gorizont into the semifinal stage. The game without a history. TTT Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TTT Riga forced 20 Gorizont turnovers and outrebounded them 49-28 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Gunta Basko-Melnbarde (181-80, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Digna Strautmane (188-98) contributed with 13 points for the winners. French point guard Najat Ouardad (152-90, college: Auburn, agency: LBM Management) answered with 9 points and forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) added 8 points in the effort for Gorizont. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
