Regular Season Round 26: Real Betis SVL 2 - Novaschool 74-91

No shocking result in a game in Sevilla where sixth ranked Novaschool (8-6) won against 8th ranked Real Betis SVL 2 (2-12) 91-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Novaschool. Real Betis SVL 2 was better in third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Alex Jackson (200-84, college: Mo.-St.Louis) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) during the contest. Worth to mention Jackson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Forward Fernando Devos (198-99) responded with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Polish point guard Andrzej Pluta (183-0) scored 20 points. Five Novaschool and four Real Betis SVL 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Novaschool moved-up to third place in Group D Perman, which they share with 3 other teams. Real Betis SVL 2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
