Not a big story in a game in Sopot where 11th ranked Trefl (13-13) was defeated by seventh ranked Energa Czarni (15-11) 84-80. 27 personal fouls committed by Trefl helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Chavaughn Lewis (196-93, college: Marist) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Anthony Ireland (175-91, college: Loyola Mary) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Trefl. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Energa Czarni. They moved-up to sixth place. Trefl at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Energa Czarni's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Siarka (#17) in Tarnobrzeg which should be an easy win for them. Trefl will play on the road against Polfarmex (#16) in Kutno and hope to win that game.
