Regular Season Round 26: Innova Chef - La Fecha 85-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Innova Chef's (9-14) home victory over 12th ranked La Fecha (7-16) 85-65 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-65. Innova Chef made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Innova Chef outrebounded La Fecha 45-34 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Dionte Adams (201-94, college: Hampton) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 21 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) chipped in 22 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Adams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Innova Chef players scored in double figures. Forward Arturo Sarmiento (193-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Millan Lopez (185-94) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Innova Chef moved-up to tenth place in Group A-B, which they share with Gijon. La Fecha lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Innova Chef will face league's leader Chantada on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. La Fecha will play against Vigo VGO (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
