Very predictable result when third ranked Quart (17-6) smashed at home 13th ranked Sitges (5-17) 91-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Quart. Sitges was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quart forced 20 Sitges turnovers. Center Raphael Dos-Santos (201-91) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Jordi Bataller (183-86) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Five Quart players scored in double figures. Center Xavier Sabate (205-83) responded with 16 points and power forward Roger Perez (203-96) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Sitges' coach Eduardo Pinero gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Quart maintains third position in Group C-B with 17-6 record having just two points less than leader Chantada. Newly promoted Sitges keeps the thirteenth place with 17 games lost. Quart will have a break next round. Sitges will play at home against Andorra II (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
