Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Apollon Patras (6-18) lost to fifth ranked Aris (14-10) in Thessaloniki 70-79 on Saturday. Apollon Patras trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 20-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-79 at the end of the game. The winners were led by American guard Will Cummings (188-92, college: Temple) who scored that evening 15 points and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Justin Jackson (204-90, college: Cincinnati) supported him with 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Even 21 points by American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) did not help to save the game for Apollon Patras. Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Aris moved-up to fourth place. Loser Apollon Patras keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost.
