Second Stage Round 4: Ohrid AV - Pelister Bitola 53-51

A very interesting game took place in Ohrid. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Pelister Bitola (1-3) to eighth ranked Ohrid AV (3-1) 53-51 in the fight for the eighth place. It looked good early as Pelister Bitola took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ohrid AV had a 13-10 second period charge getting the lead and Pelister Bitola was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-53. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Slobodan Mihajlovski (202-82) chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds. Ohrid AV's coach Petar Chochoroski allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Phil Hawkins (186-90, college: Texas St.) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian forward Milos Andrejevic (198-89) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Ohrid AV maintains eighth position in Liga with 3-1 record. Pelister Bitola at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
