Undefeated Frayles de Guasave (5-1) recorded its first loss on the court of seventh ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Lobos UAD Mazatlan 95-92. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Frayles de Guasave. The former international swingman Jorge-Alfredo Casillas (196-90) fired 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Five Lobos UAD Mazatlan players scored in double figures. American forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St., agency: Interperformances) produced 33 points (!!!) and the other American import forward Elijah Pittman (206-91, college: Marshall, agency: Aspire Sports) added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains seventh place with 2-4 record, which they share with Culiacan. Frayles de Guasave at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan is looking forward to face Caballeros de Culiacan (#8) on the road in the next round. Frayles de Guasave will play against Rayos de Hermosillo (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
