Semi-Finals Game 3: Banska Bystrica - UKF Nitra 61-48

The game was mostly controlled by Banska Bystrica. UKF Nitra was better in third quarter 16-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding UKF Nitra to just 6 points in first quarter. Banska Bystrica forced 19 UKF Nitra turnovers and outrebounded them 51-28 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Lucia Striesova (180-97, college: Robert Morris) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Center Beata Jassova (190-93) helped adding 8 points and 16 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Natalia Martiskova (170-99) with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Terezia Sailerova (173-99) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
