Finals Game 2: Pinar del Rio - Matanzas 70-68

Date: April 3, 2017
Pinar del Rio outgunned Matanzas to even the championship series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-9. But Guerreros won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pinar forced 19 Guerreros turnovers. The former international center Elieser Quintana (205-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Yosiel Monterrey (185-88) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international guard Danys Torrientes (190-85) replied with 20 points and Yoan Rodriguez added 18 points in the effort for Guerreros. Guerreros' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
