Regular Season Round 26: Energa Czarni - Siarka 92-86
Date: April 5, 2017
Very predictable result in Slupsk where sixth ranked Energa Czarni (16-11) beat bottom-ranked Siarka (4-24) 92-86. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Energa Czarni shot 63.2 percent from the field. American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Naturalized Canadian forward Greg Surmacz (203-86, agency: Promotex) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) replied with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Alex Welsh (200-94, college: Colorado Springs) added 25 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Siarka. Five Energa Czarni and four Siarka players scored in double figures. Energa Czarni have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 16-11 record. Siarka lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games. Energa Czarni will play against Polpharma (#9) in Starogard in the next round. Siarka will play at home against Polfarmex (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
