But Indios were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from San German 92-83. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 24-22 Indios' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 92-83 at the end of the game. Strangely Indios outrebounded Atleticos 48-30 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. The former international guard Isaac Sosa-Carrion (190-90, college: Canisius) notched 21 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) supported him with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds by American forward David Laury (206-90, college: Iona) did not help to save the game for Indios. The former international guard Jezreel De-Jesus (185-91, agency: Interperformances) added 24 points for the hosts. Four Atleticos and five Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atleticos' next round opponent will be Santeros in Coamo and it may be quite challenging game. Indios will play on the road against Brujos (#9) in Guayama and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
