Araski toppled Gernika to advance into the semifinal stage. It looked good early as Gernika took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Araski had a 17-12 second period charge getting the lead and Gernika was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 54-57. American Margaret Roundtree (183-88, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: ProDep Management) notched 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Venezuelan point guard Roselis Silva (166-91, college: Arkansas Tech) supported her with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Roundtree is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds by DR Congolese forward Chanel Mokango (196-88, college: Mississippi St., agency: ProDep Management) did not help to save the game for Gernika. The former international power forward Maria Pina (187-87) added 6 points and 7 rebounds for the guests.
