Regular Season Round 19: Tokyo HT - Otsuka A. 75-58

Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Tokyo: Tokyo HT (#3) and Otsuka A. (#4). Tokyo HT (23-11) crushed visiting Otsuka A. (20-14) by 17 points 75-58. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Otsuka A.'s 30. They outrebounded Otsuka A. 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was an exceptional evening for forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pittsburg St.) accounted for 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) came up with 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Otsuka A. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Tokyo HT. They maintain third place with 23-11 record having eight points less than leader Kanazawa Sam. Otsuka A. at the other side keeps the fourth position with 14 games lost. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Cinq R..
