Regular Season Round 27: Calvia - JAC Sants 79-89

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked JAC Sants (10-14) beat on the road second-best Calvia (16-8) 89-79 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-79. JAC Sants made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Ferran Mas (193-97) who scored 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Alex Olive (-96) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Jose-Maria Morales (205-89) who recorded 22 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Toni Carrasco (198-84) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Calvia players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. JAC Sants moved-up to tenth place in Group C-A, which they share with Sant Nicolau and Barna. Calvia lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the second position with eight games lost. JAC Sants' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona Barna.
