Second Stage Round 6: Strumica - Ohrid AV 79-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Strumica and 8th ranked Ohrid AV had identical 3-1 record. This time Strumica used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ohrid 79-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ohrid AV won third quarter 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strumica players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ohrid AV's players. It was a good game for the former international forward Vladimir Brckov (200-89, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian forward Petar Jokic (201-91) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Strumica players scored in double figures. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian guard Luka Milojevic (193-91) added 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) in the effort for Ohrid AV. Strumica maintains seventh position in Liga with 4-1 record. Newly promoted Ohrid AV keeps the eighth place with two games lost. Strumica will play against Pelister Bitola (#9) on the road in the next round. Ohrid AV will play against Vardar in Skopje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
