Den Bosch stormed past Rotterdam to take 1-0 lead. Den Bosch forced 20 Rotterdam turnovers and outrebounded them 50-32 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. American forward Charles Mitchell (203, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Den Bosch players scored in double figures. American guard Jermaine Marshall (193-90, college: Arizona St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Michael Kok (190-91) added 15 points in the effort for Rotterdam.
