Second Stage Round 4: Kormend - Falco KC 102-86

The game with biggest result difference took place in Kormend. Local Kormend (20-9) beat 5th ranked Falco KC (18-11) 102-86 on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Kormend. Falco KC was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kormend looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Sterling Gibbs (188-92, college: Connecticut, agency: Interperformances) fired 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import guard Lenzelle Smith-Jr (193-91, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 19 points. American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) produced 27 points and 4 steals and Belarusian-Russian Aliaksandr Pustahvar (202-85) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Falco KC's coach Srecko Sekulovic rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kormend maintains second position with 20-9 record having just two points less than leader PVSK Pannon. Loser Falco KC keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. Kormend will face league's leader Alba in Szekesfehervar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Falco KC will play on the road against ZTE KK (#3) in Zalaegerszeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
