Second Stage Round 7: MZT Skopje - Kozuv 79-75

An interesting game for MZT Skopje (7-0) which hosted in Skopje 4th placed Kozuv (2-5). Leader MZT Skopje managed to get a 4-point victory 79-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kozuv won third quarter 28-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Xavier Thames (191-91, college: San Diego St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 4 assists. The former international swingman Marko Simonovski (192-89, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 15 points. At the losing side Serbian Milivoje Mijovic (200-91) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place in Liga with 7-0 record. Kozuv at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. MZT Skopje's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Rabotnicki.
