Worth to mention a great performance of American center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) contributed with 6 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-89) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American Nate Linhart (201-86, college: Akron) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for BBC Bayreuth. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EWE Baskets (16-13) moved-up to seventh place. BBC Bayreuth at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. EWE Baskets are looking forward to face higher ranked Bayern Muenchen (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BBC Bayreuth will play against Giessen 46ers and is hoping to win this game.
