Regular Season Round 33: CFBB - Lorient 52-85

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-33) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 33th consecutive match to fourteenth ranked Lorient (15-18) 85-52. The game was mostly controlled by Lorient. CFBB was better in fourth quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lorient shot 23 for 35 from the free-throw line, while CFBB only scored six points from the stripe. They also forced 26 CFBB turnovers. American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Serbian center Milan Oluic (210-84) accounted for 12 points and 8 rebounds. Lorient's coach Philippe Maucourant felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Yanik Blanc (184-99) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ivan Fevrier (203-99) added 10 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Lorient moved-up to thirteenth place. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Lorient will play against higher ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (#12) in Bischwiller in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play on the road against Lourdes-Tarbes (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
