Kosice held off visiting Rieker Komarno to gain 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 18-8. But Rieker KN won third quarter 22-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kosice made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists.
