Finals Game 2: Tobol - Almat.Legion 97-98

Tobol celebrated Higher League title. They were narrowly defeated by Almat.Legion in the return leg of the Finals but managed to triumph on aggregate. Almat.Legion looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Vsevolod Fadeikin (206-85) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. International guard Yuriy Kozhanov (190-90) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Anton Bykov (200-89) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds and swingman Maksim Voeykov (195-85) added 29 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for the hosts. Five Almat.Legion and four Tobol players scored in double figures.
