Regular Season Round 6: Bayamon - Aguada 76-93

BSN top team - Santeros (6-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Vaqueros (2-4) in Bayamon 93-76. The game without a history. Santeros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Egyptian-American center Omar Samhan (211-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Alex Abreu (180-91, college: W.Georgia) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and international swingman Alex Franklin (198-88, college: Siena) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Vaqueros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Santeros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-1 record. Vaqueros at the other side keep the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with San German. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
