The game in Durango was also quite interesting. Third ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (9-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (4-9). Ostioneros de Guaymas defeated Aguilas Doradas de Durango 94-78 on Wednesday. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Brandon Provost (190-90, college: UTRGV) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ostioneros de Guaymas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan) who recorded 21 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Paul Jones (198-89, college: W.Washington) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Aguilas Doradas de Durango's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ostioneros de Guaymas maintains third place with 9-5 record having just three points less than leader Hermosillo, which they share with Obregon. Newly promoted Aguilas Doradas de Durango keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Ostioneros de Guaymas will meet Lobos UAD Mazatlan (#7) on the road in the next round. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against the league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo and hope to secure a win.
