Quarter-Finals Round 3: Kalev/Cramo - Tarvas 104-65

Kalev/Cramo advanced into the semifinal stage following a comfortable home win over Tarvas. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. BC Rakvere was better in fourth quarter 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kalev/Cramo dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BC Rakvere's 38 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded BC Rakvere 51-27 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kalev/Cramo players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a quality performance for American Mark Tollefsen (206-92, college: Arizona) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 6 assists. American-Bulgarian power forward Cedric Simmons (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. Forward Karl-Johan Lips (198-96) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tonis Peil (196-93) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for BC Rakvere in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
