Regular Season Round 28: Naron - Calidus Gal.COB 64-78

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Calidus Gal.COB (17-7) beat on the road 7th ranked Naron (13-12) 78-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Calidus Gal.COB. Naron was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Naron was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Daniel Fernandez (195-99) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 steals (made all of his eight free throws). Forward Xabier Arriaga (202-97, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Alberto Seco (181-89) replied with 13 points and 5 assists and Daniel Garcia (207-94) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Naron. Naron's coach gave the chance to play for twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Calidus Gal.COB have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A-B with 17-7 record having five points less than leader Chantada. Naron lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Calidus Gal.COB will face Betanzos (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Naron will play against La Fecha in Arroyo Encomienda and hope to win that game.
