Regular Season Round 35: Neptunas - Dzukija 69-60

Rather predictable result in Klaipeda where fourth ranked Neptunas (20-15) defeated 8th ranked Dzukija (9-26) 69-60. Dzukija was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 40-23 second half run of Neptunas. It was an exceptional evening for American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke) who led the winners and scored 17 points. Arnas Butkevicius (197-92) accounted for 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Neptunas' coach Dainius Adomaitis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Paulius Morkeliunas (202-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 18 points and forward Julius Kazakauskas (197-90) added 3 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Dzukija in the defeat. Neptunas maintains fourth place with 20-15 record. Dzukija at the other side keeps the eighth position with 26 games lost. Neptunas will play against bottom-ranked Siauliai (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dzukija will play against Vytautas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
