Finals Game 4: Singapore S. - Hong Kong ELL 80-82 OT

Hong Kong ELL celebrated ASEAN League title. They nipped Singapore Slingers on the road to claim 3-1 victory in the championship series. Singapore Slingers were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 13-9 charge of Hong Kong ELL, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-12. Strangely Singapore Slingers outrebounded Hong Kong ELL 57-42 including 17 on the offensive glass. Singapore Slingers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 assists. He was named the MVP. Power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Center Justin Howard (209-81, college: Mercer) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 26 rebounds and guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) added 20 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Singapore Slingers.
