No shocking result in a game when second ranked Caciques (7-2) beat 10th ranked Brujos (2-8) in Humacao 105-100. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Brujos were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 31-14 third quarter run of Caciques. They made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: N.Carolina St.) who scored 30 points and 5 assists. American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Five Caciques players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (185-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) added 29 points respectively. Brujos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Caciques. They maintain second place with 7-2 record behind leader Aguada. Brujos lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Caciques' next round opponent will be Piratas (#3) in Quebradillas, which may be the game of the day.
