CIBACOPA top team - Rayos de Hermosillo (15-2) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat eighth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (5-12) 90-75. Rayos de Hermosillo looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Jorge Camacho (203-89, college: E.Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import center Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St.) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Loser Caballeros de Culiacan dropped to the ninth place with 12 games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo will again meet at home Caballeros de Culiacan (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caballeros de Culiacan will have a break next round.
