The game in San German was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Fajardo (5-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Atleticos (3-7). Fajardo managed to secure a 5-point victory 99-94 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 28-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Fajardo dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Atleticos' 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International point guard Carlos Arroyo (188-79, college: FIU, agency: Interperformances) fired 28 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American center Shawn James (208-83, college: Northeastern) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). The former international guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) produced 20 points and 7 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and American swingman Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fajardo moved-up to fifth place. Loser Atleticos dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Fajardo will meet at home league's leader Santeros in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Atleticos will play against Leones (#4) and hope to secure a win.
