Regular Season Round 18: Los Mochis - Durango 90-89

A very interesting game took place in Los Mochis. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (4-12) to ninth ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (6-11) 90-89 on Tuesday evening. Pioneros Los Mochis outrebounded Aguilas Doradas de Durango 46-33 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American forward Cameron Forte (201-93, college: Portland St.) who saved his team from a defeat with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Jeff Early (190-88, college: S.Illinois) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) replied with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) added 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Aguilas Doradas de Durango. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aguilas Doradas de Durango's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pioneros Los Mochis have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Navolato. Aguilas Doradas de Durango lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis' next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (#10) at home.
