The game between Top Four teams took place in Humacao. Their biggest opponent host Caciques (7-3) lost to third ranked Piratas (6-2) 97-85. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Caciques. The game was mostly controlled by Piratas. Caciques was better in second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Piratas players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American guard Gerald Fitch (191-82, college: Kentucky) notched 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the former international swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83, agency: Basket Management Solutions) supported him with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 26 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: N.Carolina St.) did not help to save the game for Caciques. The former international point guard Ansel Guzman (174-84) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Piratas maintains third position with 6-2 record having five points less than leader Aguada. Caciques at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
