Valmiera held off Liepaja/Triobet to take 2-1 lead in the series. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 33-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Arturs Ausejs (192-90) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists and American guard Malcolm Griffin (193-91, college: Fresno Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 14 points, 12 assists and 6 steals respectively. Five Valmiera and four Liepaja/Triobet players scored in double figures. Liepaja/Triobet's coach Agris Galvanovskis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
