Regular Season Round 58: Hitachi SR - Toyama Grouses 81-74

Rather expected game in Tokyo where 5th ranked Toyama Grouses (16-40) were defeated by third ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (30-26) 81-74 on Saturday. International forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach BT Toews allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Yu Okada (184-83) responded with 21 points and American center Dexter Pittman (208-88, college: Texas, agency: Inception Sports) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Hitachi Sunrockers and four Toyama Grouses players scored in double figures. Hitachi Sunrockers moved-up to second place, which they share with Sanen. Loser Toyama Grouses keep the fifth position with 40 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face again Toyama Grouses (#5) at home in the next round.
