Regular Season Round 29: Arkadikos - Psychiko 77-74

Important game to mention about took place in Arkadia. Eleventh ranked Arkadikos (11-18) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Psychiko (13-16) 77-74 on Saturday evening. Psychiko was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Lithuanian guard Dovydas Redikas (192-92) nailed 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side and power forward Efthimios Tsakaleris (207-89) accounted for 12 points and 13 rebounds. Four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (195-90) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and forward Vasileios Mouratos (193-97) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Psychiko in the defeat. Psychiko's coach Nikos Remendelas tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Arkadikos maintains eleventh place with 11-18 record. Psychiko lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Arkadikos will play against bottom-ranked Pagrati (#16) in Athens in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Psychiko will play at home against GS Larissas (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
