Another exciting game for Dragonflies (44-14) which played on the court of second-best Kumamoto V. (43-15). Third ranked Dragonflies upset home team edging them after exciting game by one point 73-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kumamoto V.. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Seiji Ikaruga (185-94) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas, agency: Babcock Sports) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Dragonflies and five Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. Dragonflies moved-up to second place. Kumamoto V. at the other side dropped to the third position with 15 games lost. Dragonflies will play against Orange Vikings (#4) in Matsuyama in the next round. Kumamoto V. will play on the road against Kagawa FA in Takamatsu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
