Quarter-Finals Round 3: Army - Petrochimi 73-83

Petrochimi outgunned Army to gain 3-0 lead. The game was mostly controlled by Petrochimi. Army was better in fourth quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Army helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for international center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). American swingman James White (201-82, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. The former international center Mohammad Torabi (211-92) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Ashkan Khalilnejad (191-91) added 17 points and 4 steals respectively for Army in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
